He submits that Punjab Mandi Board admits the claim of the petitioner. As soon as sanction is received from the Deputy Commissioner, payment shall be released to the petitioner. In view of the above, present petition is disposed of. Deputy Commissioner may take decision on the issue, at the earliest, in any case not later than 03 weeks. In case, any fresh cause of action accrues to the petitioner to invoke contempt jurisdiction of the court, apart from initiating proceedings under the Act, it shall also consider imposition of punitive costs, which shall be deducted from the salary of the officers responsible for delay/non-compliance.
