Prayer made in the present writ petition is for quashing of the order dated 30.12.2020 bearing memo No. 2325 (Annexure P-3) that has been sent by the respondent to the petitioner calling upon the petitioner to deposit the amount within a period of two days for release of new connection, failing which the application for new connection shall be rejected.

Counsel for respondents No. 1, 2 & 4-Distribution licencee submits that he has received a communication bearing memo No. 215 dated 09.02.2023 to the effect that if the petitioner applies for a new electricity connection on the said property / land with the requisite documents, the connection shall be released. Since the grievance of the petitioners is SATYAWAN 2023.12.04 10:36 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CWP-982-2021 (O&M) 2 2023:PHHC:152639 already redressed, the present writ petition has been rendered infructuous. 3.

There is no representation on behalf of the petitioner to controvert the aforesaid statement made by the respondent. The said statement is accordingly accepted to be correct. 4.

In an event of the petitioners approaching the respondents for release of the connection alongwith all requisite documents and subject to their fulfilling the terms & condictions, the respondents shall remain bound by their statement to release the connection as per law. 5.

In view of the same, the present petition is disposed of as having been rendered infructuous. Liberty is, however, granted to the petitioner to seek revival of the present petition, in case the said statement is found to be incorrect.
