Reply by way of affidavit of Parvesh Goyal, Block Development and Panchayat Officer, Rampura, District Bathinda has been filed in court. Same is taken on record. Referring to same, learned State counsel submits that order has been complied with. A speaking order, Annexure R1 has been passed. According to him, payment has been released to the petitioner and copy of the draft has been annexed with the affidavit.
In view of above, no cause of action survives in this petition. Same is hereby dismissed. Rule is discharged. However, this court feels it necessary to point out that in cases of such consistent delays, this court shall consider imposition of exemplary costs which would be recoverable from the salary of officials responsible for the delay.
