Petitioner was appointed as Procurement Revenue Chowkidar on 5.7.1983 on daily wage/adhoc basis. His services were regularized w.e.f. 20.11.2014(P-3). He filed CWP 24213/2015 to be declared as a member of General Provident Fund Scheme in view of a DB judgment of this Court in Harbans Lal v State of Punjab 2012(2) SCT 362(DB).
The said writ petition was disposed of by this Court vide order dated 19.11.2015 with a direction to respondents to decide petitioner's representation dated 26.10.2015 made in this regard within a period of three months from the receipt of certified copy of the said order keeping in view the binding precedent of the Division Bench judgment in Harbans Lal (supra).

COCP 3311/2016 Alleging disobedience of said order dated 19.11.2015 instant contempt petition has been filed.
Upon notice, today short reply by way of affidavit of Harjeet Kaur, District Controller, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs,Patiala-respondent no.2 has been filed stating therein that vide order dated 22.3.2017 GPF number has been allotted to the petitioner. The said reply is taken on record.
In view of the contents of the reply filed today, learned counsel for the petitioner concedes that the instant contempt petition has been rendered infructuous.
Dismissed as infructuous.
