On the asking of the Court, Mr. Rohit Arya, AAG, Haryana, present in court, accepts notice.

Petitioner alleges violation of order dated 21.08.2017, Annexure P-1, passed by the writ court. Operative part thereof reads as under:- "Accordingly, without commenting upon the merits of the case and keeping in view the above facts, as averred, which are supported by annexures on record, that the petitioner's case was kept pending on account of the fact that he was suspended and that he has now been duly reinstated. Accordingly, there is no such hurdle for considering his case for promotion, afresh and in view of the fact that the petitioner has already filed representation dated 10.04.2017 (Annexure P-6) to respondent No.1, it is directed that the said respondent shall take a decision on the same within a period of 4 weeks from the receipt of the certified copy of the order. In case, an adverse order is to be passed, the same be communicated to the petitioner."

Learned State counsel, at the outset, submits that in case needful has not been done already, appropriate steps shall be taken forthwith, in any case, not later than one month.

In view of statement made by learned State counsel, no further direction is necessary. In case, any fresh cause of action accrues to the petitioners to invoke contempt jurisdiction of the court, apart from initiating proceedings under the Act, it shall also impose exemplary costs, which shall be deducted from the salary of the officers responsible for delay/noncompliance. Disposed of.
