RITU BAHRI, J.(Oral) Petitioners are seeking direction to the respondents to refix their pay in the upgraded pay scale of Rs.6500-10500 w.e.f. 01.01.1996 in view of provisions of Haryana Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 2008 with further prayer of granting 1st, 2nd and 3rd ACP grade pay to them from due dates on completion of 10, 20 and 30 years of regular service. The petitioners are working as Teachers on regular basis in the Education Department, Haryana and some of the petitioners have retired after 01.01.2006. The petitioners have made a legal notice dated 21.08.2019 (Annexure P-5).
Learned counsel for the petitioners is relying upon judgment passed by this Court having similar issue in CWP-25868-2018 Chander Bhan Sharma and others V/s. State of Haryana and others, which was disposed of on 08.10.2018.

CWP No. 632-2020 accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State. Without commenting upon merits of the case, this petition at this stage is being disposed of by giving direction to respondent No. 2 to decide the legal notice dated 21.08.2019 (Annexure P-5), within a period of six months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. The respondent No. 2 shall pass a speaking order thereon after affording opportunity of hearing to the petitioners, failing which, respondent No. 2, shall be liable to pay cost of Rs.50,000/- each to the petitioners. This condition of imposing cost is only to prevent the petitioners to run from pillar to post and avail remedy of contempt in case of non-compliance of directions issued by this Court.
