application of the petitioner (minor) had been rejected, however vide letter dated 28.01.2025, the said rejection letter has been released by the Regional Passport Office, Chandigarh and the passport application of the petitioner (minor) is still active. It is further informed that earlier, letter dated 16.08.2024 was issued to the petitioner by the Regional Passport Office, Chandigarh, whereby certain shortcomings/clarifications were to be addressed by the petitioner; however, the same has not been done so far. 2.1 Learned counsel for the respondent/Union of India has handed over copies of the aforesaid letters dated 16.08.2024, 24.01.2025 and 28.01.2025, issued by the Regional Passport Office, Chandigarh, in Court today. Same are taken on record, subject to all just exceptions. 3.

Learned counsel for the petitioner, keeping in view the aforesaid stand taken by learned counsel for the respondent/Union of India, submits that he may be permitted to withdraw the instant writ petition at this stage with liberty to the petitioner to respond to the aforesaid letter dated 16.08.2024 issued by the Regional Passport Office, Chandigarh, by addressing all the shortcomings/clarifications, as mentioned therein. 4.

Ordered accordingly.
