Ms. Kanika Sachdeva, A.A.G Punjab *** Ritu Bahri, J. (Oral) Petitioner is seeking issuance of direction to the respondents to make necessary correction in the name of the son of the petitioner as Jaspal Singh instead of Harpal Singh in the birth certificate issued on 09.10.2020 (P-6).

Learned State counsel on instructions from Mr. Deepinder, Chief Registrar, Birth and Death, Punjab submits that the case of the petitioner for correction in the birth certificate issued on 09.10.2020 (P-6) will be taken up in 15-20 days for further consideration. In view of the instructions given by learned State counsel, the present petition stands disposed with a direction to the official respondents to treat this petition as representation of the petitioner and pass speaking order within a period of three months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
