(Oral) The petitioner has approached this Court seeking issuance of a direction to respondents No. 2 and 3 so as to protect the life and liberty as she apprehended threat to the same at the hands of respondents No. 4 to 9. Pursuant to issuance of notice of motion, the State has filed its reply by way of affidavit of Shri Vivek Sheel Soni, Superintendent of Police, Ferozepur on behalf of respondents No. 1 to 3 wherein it has been deposed that proceedings under Sections 107/151 Cr.P.C. have already been initiated against respondents No. 4 to 9 vide DDR No. 25 dated 18.1.2020, Police Station Lakho Ke Behram, Ferozepur.

In view of the aforestated position, it is evident that the police is taking requisite steps for ensuring safety and security of the petitioner. CRWP-266-2020 (O&M) The petition, as such, is disposed of in view of the reply filed on behalf of respondents No. 1 to 3.

However, in case the petitioner again apprehends threat to her life and liberty at the later stage, it shall be open to the petitioner to move an appropriate application to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Ferozepur seeking protection to her life which shall be duly examined by the Senior Superintendent of Police, Ferozepur.

A copy of this order be sent to Senior Superintendent of Police, Ferozepur.
