(Oral) On the last date of hearing, direction was issued to file affidavit of the Chief Engineer, GNDTP, Bathinda on the assertion of counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner was entitled to arrears in pursuance to the order passed by this Court, 3 years and 2 months prior to the date of filing of the writ petition or 1.1.1985, whichever is later. As per para 2 of the said affidavit, arrears from the date of his appointment i.e. 27.10.1986 to 8.12.1994 amounting to ` 43,440/-, have since been paid to the petitioner.
In view of the above, the order has been complied with. The present contempt petition is dismissed accordingly. However, in case the petitioner is still aggrieved in any manner, he is at liberty to file representation in accordance with law. Rule issued to the respondents stands discharged.
