Aggrieved by acquittal of the respondent-accused by the Additional Sessions Judge, Jalandhar vide impugned judgment dated 27.10.2021 whereby judgment of conviction and sentence dated 29.10.2018 passed by JMIC, Jalandhar had been overturned, the complainant had come up before this Court by filing the present revision petition.

On the last date of hearing, following order was passed: "Counsel for the petitioner submits that they would be supplying fresh address of the respondent by end of this month. Given above, fresh notice be issued to the respondent on receipt of fresh address to be furnished by the petitioner for 26.02.2026."

As per report of Registry, no fresh address of the respondent has been furnished. Legal aid counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that she tried to contact the petitioner but despite calling twice, she is not responding and in such a situation, she is unable to furnish the correct address of the respondent. 4.
Given above, the present petition is dismissed for non-prosecution. Registry shall not entertain any application for restoration of present petition. However, liberty is granted to file a fresh petition after providing an explanation for the failure to furnish the correct address of the respondent. The time for which the present petition was pending before this Court shall not be counted for the purpose of limitation. All pending applications, if any, stand disposed of.
