*** AJAY TEWARI, J. (Oral) This petition has been filed under Section 439 Cr.P.C. for grant of regular bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.269 dated 29.11.2017 registered under Sections 302, 34 IPC at Police Station Jandiala, District Amritsar Rural.

Counsel for the petitioner argued that the petitioner has been in custody for the last 1 year and 4 months and there is no evidence against him.

Learned Deputy Advocate General on instructions from ASI Major Singh states that this is the case where two young boys were brutally murdered and out of 31 prosecution witnesses, 13 have been examined. Therefore, instead of granting bail, it would be appropriate to put a time cap on the trial and stated that the entire evidence will be concluded on or ANJU 2019.03.27 16:01 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document phhc before 19.07.2019 subject to the accused not obstructing the same.

I find this to be a fair submission. In the circumstances, the present petition is dismissed but the trial Court is directed to release the petitioner on bail on 19.07.2019 in case the prosecution does not lead its entire evidence on or before 19.07.2019 subject to the accused not obstructing the same.

Since the main case has been decided, the pending criminal miscellaneous application, if any, also stands disposed of.
