*** MANOJ BAJAJ, J.(ORAL) By filing the present petition under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, the petitioner has sought anticipatory bail in FIR No.195 dated 19.12.2018, under Sections 420, 406 of the Indian Penal Code ('IPC' - for short) and Section 13 of Punjab Prevention of Human Smuggling Act, 2012 registered at Police Station Sadar Nabha, District Patiala.

On 11.01.2019, this Court had passed the following order:- "Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the complainant has alleged in the FIR that petitionerHardeep Kaur had introduced him to Bharpur Singh son of Piara Singh. The payments were also made to the coaccused Bharpur Singh and Happy, who had facilitated the abroad visit of son of the complainant. It is argued that petitioner lady has no concern with the alleged deal between complainant and accused Bharpur Singh and Happy.

In the meanwhile, petitioner shall join the investigation and would come present as and when called for and in the event of arrest, he shall be admitted to interim bail on his furnishing personal and surety bonds to the satisfaction of the Arresting/Investigating Officer. The petitioner shall also abide by the conditions as specified under Section 438 (2) Cr.P.C."

Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that in pursuance of the order dated 11.01.2019, the petitioner has joined the investigation. Learned State counsel on instructions from ASI Krishan Lal submits that the petitioner has joined the investigation and she is not required for custodial interrogation.

In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the interim bail granted by this Court vide order dated 11.01.2019, is made absolute.

The petition stands allowed.
