Prayer made in the present petition is for directing the respondents to count the entire service of the petitioners till the date of regularization as qualifying service for the purpose of pension and deemed to be in service prior to 01.01.2004 in terms of judgments passed in the case of Harbans Lal vs. The State of Punjab and others, CWP-2371-2010, decided on 31.08.2010, Annexure P-3 and Raghbir Chand vs. BBMB and others, CWP-7389-2015, decided on 15.01.2016, Annexure P-5. 2.
Learned counsel, on instructions, submits that the claim of the petitioners may be directed to be considered in terms of the aforesaid judgments, in a time bound manner.

Learned counsel for the respondents has no objection to the limited prayer made.

In view of the above and without commenting upon the merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider and decide the claim of the petitioner, taking note of the aforeHAMANT 2024.11.06 10:37 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
CWP-1220-2022 referred judgments, within a period of 4 months, which this Court has no reason to believe the authorities would not address in a just, fair and reasonable manner. Upon doing so, after notice and hearing offered to them and if found entitled, grant the benefit forthwith. Needless to say, if the orders are adverse to their interest, the same shall contain reasons and petitioners shall be free to seek legal redress thereupon.
