This matter is being taken up for hearing through video conferencing due to the outbreak of pandemic, COVID-19. Petitioner applied for the post of Gram Sachiv under Development and Panchayat Department, Haryana, in response to advertisement dated 14.06.2019. It is claimed that he belongs to BC-A category but due to an inadvertent mistake, mentioned his category to be SC by clicking on the incorrect option in the online form. Petitioner in this petition seeks direction to the respondents to change the category of the petitioner to BC-A from SC and declare his result in the said category.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is not conversant with the submission of forms online, it is due to a totally inadvertent mistake that petitioner is mentioned to be falling in the SC category whereas he belongs to the BC-A category. Supporting documents and certificates, which were uploaded alongwith the application, were of the BC-A category. CWP-953-2021 card issued to the petitioner on 27.11.2020 reflected the petitioner to be in the SC category. The petitioner submitted a representation dated 04.01.2021 (Annexure P-5) before the Secretary, Haryana Staff Selection Commission - respondent no.2, before the written examination, which was held on 09.01.2021. No action was taken on petitioner's representation and petitioner has taken the written examination on 09.01.2021. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that as petitioner belongs to the BC-A category, his result would be wrongly declared under the SC category, in case necessary action is not taken by respondent no.2.
At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner restricts her prayer for a decision of petitioner's representation dated 04.01.2021 (Annexure P-5), in a time bound manner.

Mr. Ashish Yadav, Addl. A.G., Haryana, accepts notice on behalf of both the respondents. Advance copy of the writ petition stands served. Learned counsel for the State does not raise any serious objection to the limited prayer addressed.
Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of this case, but without any expression of opinion on the merits of the matter, this petition is disposed of with a direction to the competent authority to consider and decide representation dated 04.01.2021 (Annexure P-5), within a period of two weeks from receipt of certified copy of this order but definitely before declaration of the result.
