Petitioner is a 1984 riot victim and on his shifting to District Gurdaspur was issued a Riot Victim Identification Card (Red Card) No.66/448 dated 26.2.1986. Now after 25 years he is praying for shifting of his Red Card from Gurdaspur to Ropar in view of his changed place of abode i.e. District Roopnagar.

At the time of hearing learned counsel for the petitioner has miserably failed to show any instructions/policy whereby he could claim such shifting and the authority competent to do so. At this stage,learned counsel seeks permission to withdraw the instant contempt petition.

Dismissed as withdrawn.
