Petitioner alleges violation of order dated 06.10.2016 passed by coordinate bench, operative part thereof reads as under:- "In these circumstances, without issuing notice to the respondents, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No. 3 that in view of the exceptional circumstances, the case of the petitioner be processed on priority basis and personally supervise the progress of the case and ensure that maximum retiral benefits are released at the earliest.
Husband of the petitioner was suffering from oral cancer and expired on 21.08.2016. Since then the widow has been running from pillar to post to get retiral benefits. Despite directions given by this court, no tangible result has followed.

COCP No. 3803 of 2017 submits that matter shall be personally examined by Senior Superintendent of Police, Faridkot and expeditious action shall be taken. In view of statement made by him, petition is disposed of. In case fresh cause of action accrues to the petitioner to invoke the contempt jurisdiction of this court, apart from initiating proceedings under the Act, it shall consider imposition of punitive costs which shall be deducted from the salary of official(s) responsible for delay/non-compliance.
