JASWANT SINGH, J (ORAL) The petitioner, who was working as Lecturer with Shaheed Kansi Ram Memorial College of Physical Education Bhaghu Majra (Kharar), District Mohali (private managed aided College), claiming the benefit of revised pay scales w.e.f 01.01.2006 as well as further promotion as Senior Lecturer w.e.f 01.03.2016 filed CWP No.11667 of 2012, which was disposed of vide order dated 01.06.2012 directing the Authorities to pass a speaking order within four months from the receipt of certified copy of the order.
The impleaded respondents herein are the Principal and the Chairman of the Managing Committee of the College. As per their stand in the written statement, the revision of pay scales as claimed w.e.f 01.01.2006 has been granted, however, as regards the benefit of further promotion to the post of Senior Lecturer, the matter in this respect along with necessary documents has been forwarded to the Competent Authority i.e DPI
COCP No.765 of 2013 #2# (Colleges), Punjab on 13.3.2013. It is further stated that the Competent Authority is yet to take a decision, which has not been impleaded herein.
In view of the above, there is substantial compliance by the present respondents, therefore, no further action is warranted. Contempt petition is dismissed and the Rule is discharged. The petitioner is free to seek alternative remedy, if available, in accordance with law.
