Main case Grievance of the petitioner is qua delay in disposal of a divorce petition (Annexure P-1) preferred by him before the Family Court at Patiala vide HMA/DMC-1123 of 2019 titled as "Harpreet Singh vs Ravinder Kaur", which is pending since 2019.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitionerhusband is ready for permanent settlement but since, the date of filing of said petition, the respondent-wife is not appearing before the Family Court. The matter is repeatedly being adjourned and aforesaid pending divorce petition is not being decided.

I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner and gone through the case file.

Given that due to the restrictions caused by the current pandemic, the Courts below are working on reduced capacity of staff as well as through GURPREET KAUR 2022.03.04 08:41 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
