Petitioner filed CWP 2618/2013 for directing the official respondents to release him the gratuity which was allegedly withheld without having been issued any show cause notice/pendency of disciplinary proceedings.
The said writ petition was disposed of by this Court vide order dated 16.5.2014 with a direction to respondents to release the gratuity of the petitioner within a period of two months from the date of receipt of copy of the said order. He was also held entitled for interest @ 9% p.a., after expiry of period of three months from the date of his retirement.

Upon notice, short reply by way of affidavit dated 20.3.2017 of Apurv,HCS, Secretary, Haryana State Agriculture Marketing Board,Panchkula has been filed stating therein that DCRG amounting to Rs.7,32,888/- was paid to petitioner on 2.8.2016 whereas interest amounting to Rs.2,63,840/- was paid on 7.9.2016. At the time of hearing, none has put in appearance on behalf of the petitioner.
In view of the contents of reply, it is apparent that necessary relief, as directed vide order dated 16.5.2014 passed by this Court stands granted to the petitioner and no further action in warranted in the instant contempt petition.
Dismissed as infructuous.
