1.1 A further prayer has been made to direct the learned Financial Commissioner (Revenue), Punjab to decide the revision petition bearing ROR No.121 of 2024 and/or the application seeking interim relief, filed along with the revision petition, in a time bound manner. 2.

After arguing for some time, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the revision petition (ROR No.121 of 2024) and the application seeking interim relief, filed along with the revision petition, are pending consideration before the learned Financial Commissioner (Revenue), Punjab, however, no effective order has been passed therein, till date; and the petitioner would be satisfied if an appropriate direction is issued for decision of the revision petition/stay application in a time bound manner. 3.

At this stage, Mr. Navneet Singh, Senior Deputy Advocate General, Punjab appears on behalf of the respondents/State, in pursuance of the advance copy of paper book having already been supplied to him. He, on instructions from Mr. Ramesh Kumar, Reader to Financial Commissioner (Revenue), Punjab, informs the Court that the aforesaid revision petition (ROR No.121 of 2024) is still at the service stage and the same is now fixed for 17.01.2025 before the learned Financial Commissioner (Revenue), Punjab.

In view of the above, I find no reason to issue time bound directions to the learned Financial Commissioner (Revenue), Punjab to decide the revision petition (ROR No.121 of 2024) and/or the application seeking interim relief, filed along with the revision petition. Accordingly, the instant writ petition stands dismissed. However, the Financial Commissioner (Revenue), Punjab shall make an earnest endeavour to decide the revision petition along with the application seeking interim relief, expeditiously, in

accordance with law.
