(Oral) Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners along with his co-sharers had agreed to sell about 11 acres of land situated in District Karnal in the year 2012 to respondents No.4 to 8 and had also received earnest amount to the tune of `5 crores but the proposed purchaser i.e. respondents No.4 to 8 never came forward for paying the balance amount or for execution of the sale deed and consequently the said earnest amount stood forfeited. It has further been submitted that thereafter despite a period of about 6 years having elapsed respondents No.4 to 8 never filed any suit for specific performance and that now the said respondents are trying to pressurize the petitioners and their co-sharers by filing complaint MOHAN SINGH 2021.01.15 17:00 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
- 2 - CRM-M-2066-2021 (O&M) with the police in District Jind in respect of the aforesaid dispute and on account of which they are now being called by the police of District Jind. Having heard learned counsel for the petitioners and while refraining from making any expression as regards merits of the case or the veracity of the averments, the petition is disposed of with a direction to Superintendent of Police, Jind (respondent No.2) to ensure that in case petitioners are sought to be associated with any inquiry or any information is to be elicited from them in respect of the aforementioned dispute, they shall be afforded a prior written notice by the police. A copy of this order be sent to Superintendent of Police, Jind (respondent No.2) so as to enable him to do the needful at the earliest.
