The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking directions to the respondent to decide application dated 05.10.2020 whereby the petitioner had sought voluntary retirement w.e.f. 10.10.2020 as per Rule 3 of Punjab Civil Services Rules (Premature Retirement) Rules, 1975.

Learned counsel for the petitioner, at the outset, submits that application of the petitioner has already been accepted, thus, the present petition has rendered infructuous.

Learned counsel for the respondents submits that application of the petitioner seeking voluntary retirement stands accepted and he has already been released substantial retiral benefits. The remaining benefits would be released as and when he would come forward and submits documents. There is no prayer in the petition qua retiral benefits, thus, it is Anju Goel 2024.02.09 17:33 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh
