In compliance with the previous order of 13.01.2022, the detenue - Gurjot Kaur, has been produced, by Sh. Dalwinder Singh, ASI, and, Ms. Rupinder Kaur, Senior Constable, Police Station City, Barnala, in Court today. Sh. Dalwinder Singh, ASI, has also placed on record the matriculation certificate, issued by the Punjab School Education Board, therein the date of birth of Gurjot Kaur (detenue), is recorded as 27.09.2001. The afore certificate is taken on record. In view of the date of birth of the detenue, she is a major, and, is competent to enter with a valid wedlock with one Gaurav.

The detenue - Gurjot Kaur, has made a statement, statement whereof is extracted hereinafter:- " Stated that I have entered into a love marriage with one Gaurav, arrayed as co-respondent No. 4 herein. I intend to continue to reside with co-respondent No. 4 (Gaurav) and do not want to return to my parental home, as I have no trust upon my parents. I am giving this statement with my own sweet will and DINESH KUMAR 2022.01.31 18:03 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document have no pressure of any one.

C.R.W.P. No. 228 of 2022 (O&M) -23.

In view of the afore made statement, no direction can be passed upon the official respondents to return Gurjot Kaur to the custody of her parents, i.e. the petitioners herein.

However, for ensuring that the petitioners are given an opportunity to personally mete theirs daughter - Gurjot Kaur, and, to know about her well being, and, happiness in the matrimonial company of corespondent No. 4 (Gaurav), hence, ASI Dalwinder Singh, Police Station City, Barnala is directed to, every week, take alongwith him the afore Gurjot Kaur to the house of the petitioners, i.e. House No. B-XI/1420, Street No. 4, Gobind Colony, Barnala, and after all above interact for about an hour, he shall ensure that the above Gurjot Kaur, is returned safely to her matrimonial home.
