The prayer in the present petition under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India is for issuance of directions to respondent Nos.2 and 3 to take appropriate action in accordance with law against the private respondents and to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner. Learned counsel for the petitioner would contend that in regard to the grievance raised in the present petition, a representation dated 23.12.2021 (Annexure P-1) was sent to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Patiala. However, no action has been taken qua the same. Notice of motion.

CRWP-803-2022 -2On the asking of the Court, Mr. H.S. Multani, AAG Punjab has joined the session through video conferencing and accepts notice on behalf of respondent Nos.1 to 3.

Learned counsel for the State, on instructions from SubInspector Vinod Kumar, has stated that the representation of the petitioner dated 23.12.2021 was marked by the Senior Superintendent of Police, Patiala to the SHO, Sanaur. The petitioner was called and his statement was recorded to the effect that he did not want any action on the present complaint and that he would be moving a fresh complaint before the Senior Superintendent of Police, Barnala.

Faced with the same, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the present petition.

Dismissed as withdrawn.
