Petitioner-claimant for the injury sustained by him has been awarded enhanced compensation alongwith 9% interest by this Court vide judgment dated 19.7.2017 in FAO 971/1995 while partly allowing the appeal against the award dated 15.11.1994 passed by Motor Accident Claims Tribunal,Kurukshetra.

The grievance of the petitioner is that although the enhanced amount of compensation has been released, however, accrued 9% interest on the enhanced amount has not yet been released. At the time of hearing, realizing that the proper remedy would be to file execution, learned counsel prays for permission to withdraw the petition with liberty to petitioner to seek appropriate remedy in accordance with law.
