Petitioner had filed the instant contempt with the allegations that his statutory appeal filed in the year 2015 against the order of termination as Sepoy with the Indian Army has not yet been decided inspite of the directions passed by this Court on 10.11.2017 for deciding the same within 8 weeks.

Mrs.Anit Balyan, Panel Counsel was directed to find out the reasons for not deciding the statutory appeal. At the time of hearing today, Mrs.Balyan, on instructions states that the statutory appeal stands decided vide order dated 17.11.2015, a copy of which has been produced as Annexure R-1 with the affidavit dated 26.2.2018 of Lt.Col.Vijayant Thakur and the same have been taken on record.

In view of the above, the instant contempt petition is dismissed as having become infructuous.
