JASWANT SINGH, J (ORAL) By filing this contempt petition, petitioner has prayed for punishing the respondents for flouting the orders passed by this Court in CWP No.24596 of 2016 directing as under: " Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and without expressing any opinion on merits of the case, lest it should prejudice the rights of either of the parties, present writ petition is disposed of, with a direction to Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana-respondent No.3 that if the petitioner approaches him, by moving an appropriate representation within a period of two weeks from today, he shall consider the grievance of the petitioner and decide the same at an early date by passing an appropriate order thereon, strictly in accordance with law but in any case within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of representation from the petitioner After arguing for some time, learned counsel realizing that he has been unable to persuade the Court, prays for withdrawal of the petition.
Dismissed as withdrawn.
