Petitioner firm is engaged in the business of consultancy services for registration of vehicles, route permits and transfer of documents to general public as well as to other clients. Since the Authorities were not registering documents on behalf of its clients, it filed CWP 20931/2017. In the written statement filed to the said writ petition it was stated that the Authorities in the light of Section 41 of the Motor Vehicles Act,1988 (for short the Act) were registering document on applications moved by the owners of the vehicles or their authorised persons pursuant to Section 41 of the Act.
In view of the said stand the writ petition was disposed of by this Court vide order dated 28.11.2017 (P-1) which is reproduced as under:- "Learned State counsel seeks to place on record reply on behalf of respondents no.1 to 3. Prayer is accepted. Same is taken on record.

COCP 523/2018 Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that he may be allowed to withdraw this petition in view of the stand taken by the State in para 4 of the reply.

In the instant contempt it is alleged that despite the earlier stand of the respondent Registering Authority, the petitioner is again not being permitted to do the aforesaid work relating to registration of vehicles,route permits etc. on behalf of its clients.
After arguing for sometime and having failed to convince the Court,learned counsel seeks withdrawal of the instant contempt petition. Dismissed as withdrawn.
