Petitioner seeks issuance of a direction to the official respondents to appoint him as Lecturer in Electronics and Communication Engineering against a vacant post in B.C. Punjab category being next in merit.

Notice of motion.

On the asking of court, Ms. Anu Chatrath, Addl. A.G. Punjab, who is present in court, accepts notice. She submits that process for appointing the petitioner has been initiated. The matter has been sent for police verification and medical examination. According to her, needful shall be done at the earliest.
