Petitioner filed CRM-M 13948/2017 for issuance of direction to police authorities to protect his life and liberty as also that of his family members at the hands of persons mentioned in his representation dated 7.4.2017, who allegedly threatened and abused him and his family members. The said petition was disposed of by this Court vide order dated 27.4.2017 by directing SP Jind to look into representation dated 7.4.2017 of the petitioner independently, without being influenced by the order passed by this Court.

Now alleging disobedience of said order dated 27.4.2017 instant contempt has been filed.

After hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner and perusing representation dated 27.4.2017 no case for invoking contempt jurisdiction is made out as the SP Jind was asked to independently examine the representation of the petitioner and not directed to register an FIR. In case, no cognizable offence was found to have been made out against the Rajinder Parshad Joshi 2018.02.26 11:28 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

COCP 644/2018 named persons, the police may not have taken further action in the matter. In this view of the matter no further action is warranted in the present contempt petition.
