***** Rajan Gupta, J. (Oral) Learned State counsel seeks to place on record the reply by way of affidavit of Kamal Kishor Yadav, IAS, Director, Department of Local Government, Punjab. Prayer is accepted. Reply is taken on record. He has referred to the same and submits that speaking order, Annexure R-1 has been passed. Entire payment in lieu of retiral benefits alongwith interest has been released to the petitioner. He further, on instructions from Sikander Singh, Regional Deputy Director, Local Audit, Ludhiana, submits that in view of direction contained in Para 5 of the affidavit, audit para would be settled by the Audit Department at the earliest, in any case not later than 03 months. In view of the above, no further direction is necessary. Petition is hereby disposed of.

Petitioner shall, however, be at liberty to seek revival of the petition if any cause of action survives.
