Prayer in the instant petition filed under Article 226/227 of Constitution of India is for issuance of directions to official respondents to provide protection of life and liberty to the petitioners. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioner No.1, aged 18 years and petitioner No.2, aged 19 years are stated to be a in live-inrelationship. Learned counsel further submits that the private respondents, who are relatives of petitioner No.1, are averse to their relationship and have been threatening the petitioners with dire consequences. Hence, they are seeking protection in that regard and have approached this Court by way of filing the instant petition. Learned counsel further submits that despite representation dated 09.01.2023 (Annexure P-3) having been given to respondent No2, no action has been taken against the private respondents. Notice of motion.

On the asking of Court, Mr. Ramdeep Pratap Singh, Sr. DAG, Punjab, who is present in Court, accepts notice on behalf of respondents No.1 to 3.
