Petitioner retired as Principal on 26.5.2011 from Dasmesh Khalsa College,Sri Muktsar Sahib. Since his retiral benefits were not being released, he filed CWP 27161/2016 seeking a direction to respondents for release of the said benefits. The said writ petition was disposed of by this Court vide order dated 23.12.2016 with a direction to authorities concerned to decide the legal notice dated 18.2.2016 served by petitioner upon respondents in this regard. The needful was to be done within one month from the date of receipt of certified copy of the order.

Now alleging non-compliance of said order dated Rajinder Parshad Joshi 2017.04.19 15:38 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

COCP 715/2017 23.12.2016 instant contempt has been filed.

Notice of motion was issued.

At the time of hearing today learned counsel for the respondents have produced a copy of speaking order dated 18.4.2017 passed by Principal,Dashmesh Khalsa College,Sri Muktsar Sahib. A perusal of the said order reveals that due benefits have since been released to the petitioner and no other claim remains except interest on revised pay scales which will be released on receipt from the State Government. Copy of the said order is taken on record. In view of the contents of the speaking order aforesaid it is apparent that no further action is warranted in the instant contempt petition.

Dismissed as infructuous.
