Reply by way of affidavit of Gursharandeep Singh, Commandant, 82nd Battalion, PAP, Chandigarh has been filed in court. Learned State counsel submits that order passed by writ court has been complied with. He has referred to para 3 thereof, which reads as under:- "3. That in compliance with the Hon'ble High Court order dated 26.10.2016 The Addl. Director General of Police, Armed Battalions, Jalandhar has passed the order vide his office order no. 8859-62/CB-SA-2 dated 17.05.2017, Annexure R-1. Where in petitioner has been promoted as Head Constable w.e.f. 03.06.1993, where his colleagues /junior officials of Armed Battalion on promotion list C-1 w.e.f. 01.01.1993 where so promoted. It is further submitted that dated 19.05.2017 attached as Annexure R-2 has been promoted as ASI w.e.f. 18.04.2012 and offg. SI w.e.f. 30.08.2016 respectively, the dates from which next junior SI Naranjan Singh No. 836/PAP (enlisted as Constable 30.03.1986). The consequential benefits are being calculated and shall be released at the earliest."

COCP No. 735 of 2017 Learned State counsel, on instructions from Mohan Lal, PPS, Supdt of Police, DDO 82nd Battalion, PAP, Chandigarh, who is present in court, submits that payment shall be released to the petitioner at the earliest, in any case not later than one months.

In view of above, this petition is rendered infructuous and is disposed of. Rule is discharged.
