The writ petition filed by the petitioner seeking demarcation of shamlat deh comprised of khasra, as detailed in the writ petition, alleging that the land was partly encroached by the residents of the village. The writ petition was disposed of on 13.07.2017 by directing the Deputy Commissioner, Patiala to depute a team of revenue officials to demarcate the land and if residents were found to have encroached the Gram Panchayat's land, appropriate action was to be taken in accordance with law. Pursuant to notice of motion, reply dated 27.03.2019 was filed with advance copy to learned counsel for the petitioner. The demarcation report has been annexed with the reply. COCP No.730 of 2018 -2Learned counsel for the respondent states that after identifying the encroachment, petition under Section 7 of the Punjab Village Common Lands (Regulation) Act, 1961 have been filed, detail of which is mentioned in paragraph 5 of the reply. He states that needful would be done as expeditiously as possible in accordance with law.

In view of above, no case is made out for further interference in contempt proceedings.

The petition is dismissed.
