Present contempt has been filed with the allegations that the respondent has violated the directions contained in the order dated 6.9.2017 passed by this Court in CWP 16719/2017. It is alleged that no doubt in terms of the directions, speaking order dated 17.10.2017 has been passed, however, his claim for promotion has not been considered in terms of the directions contained in the order dated 6.9.2017.

Counsel for the petitioner has harped that his claim for promotion is not being considered, however, a perusal of the Annexure P-9 filed with CWP 16719/2017 reveals that the claim set out in the legal notice was only with regard to release of salary which has been duly addressed in the speaking order.

At this stage,counsel for the petitioner prays for permission to withdraw the petition.

Dismissed as withdrawn.
