Prayer made in the present petition is for directing the respondents to regularize the petitioner as per policy dated 07.05.1993 and 01.02.1995, however the claim has been rejected by considering the policy dated 04.03.1999. 2.

Learned counsel submits that the petitioner was appointed as parttime Sweeper in the year 1981 and she was entitled for regularization as per the policy dated 07.05.1993 and 01.02.1995, however a subsequent policy dated 04.03.1999 has been applied in her case, though in case of similarly situated this Court allowed CWP-2117 of 1997, titled Swaran Kaur and others versus State of Punjab and others, on 17.07.1997, Annexure P-6, against which SLP was dismissed on 17.04.1998, Annexure P-8.

The aforesaid facts having been brought out, during the course of hearing, learned State counsel, on instructions, states that the respondents would not be averse to have a relook at the matter and decided afresh within a period of 04 months, taking note of the aforesaid judgment, which this Court has no reason DINESH 2025.02.16 22:38 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

The aforesaid satisfies the learned counsel for the petitioner. 5.

The matter stands disposed of accordingly and if the petitioner is found entitled, grant the benefit forthwith. Needless to say, if the orders are adverse to her interest, the same may be passed after granting opportunity of hearing to her and shall contain reasons, whereupon the petitioner shall be free to seek legal redress thereupon.
