Petitioner-Beant Kaur is Jethani of accused Savinder Kaur,against whom the petitioner had filed a criminal complaint with the allegations that the said Devrani alongwith others had come to the agriculture land owned by the petitioner on various dates in December 2017 and tried to take forcible possession thereof by use of firearms. Since no action was being taken, petitioner filed CRM-M 1478/2018, which was disposed of by this Court vide order dated 16.1.2018 by directing DSP Baba Bakala to conduct an enquiry and take action in accordance with law. Present contempt was filed vehemently alleging that no action or enquiry was conducted by the officer concerned. In the light of allegations State counsel was directed to verify the facts.

COCP 896/2018 ASI Agyapal Singh of PS Beas states that enquiry stands completed on 20.3.2018 and no case for registration of FIR is made out. In fact the allegations made by petitioner have been found to be false. Copy of the enquiry report dated 20.3.2018 has been placed on record. In view of the above,counsel for the petitioner prays for permission to withdraw the contempt petition to enable his client to seek her remedy in accordance with law.
