Today, only the application bearing No. CRM-2292-2024, seeking suspension of sentence of the appellant, has been listed before this Court. However, the learned counsel for the appellant has informed this Court that, since the demise of the sole appellant has occurred while him being in judicial custody, therefore, the main appeal be taken on board today itself, as the same has become abated. 2.

The contention (supra) of the learned counsel for the petitioner gains corroboration from the custody certificate of the appellant, as placed on record by the learned State counsel, inasmuch as, it has been disclosed therein that the demise of the appellant has occurred on 23.01.2024 during treatment at Guru Nanak Dev Hospital, Amritsar. 3.

In view of the above, the instant appeal is taken on board today itself and the same is disposed of, as having been rendered abated. 4.

All pending application(s) also stand disposed of accordingly.
