1. Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that although an application under Section 156(3) Cr.P.C. (Annexure P-1) was filed by the petitioner before Illaqa Magistrate more than one year back, but till date the same has not been disposed of and in fact even status report has not been submitted by the police.

2. Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, but without commenting anything as regards merits of the assertions made in the petition, the instant petition is disposed of with a direction to the area Magistrate concerned where complaint (Annexure P-1) is stated to be pending to take necessary steps for expeditious disposal of the application/complaint in accordance with law.

3. A copy of this order be conveyed to the Court concerned at SAS Nagar, Mohali for necessary compliance.
