Jagdev Singh v. Parmjit Kaur & ANR
IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT
CHANDIGARH CR-1484-2015 (O&M).
Decided on: March 2, 2015.
Jagdev Singh ..... Petitioner(s)
Versus
Paramjit Kaur and another ..... Respondent(s) * * *
CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE M.M.S. BEDI PRESENT Mr.P.K.S.Phoolka, Advocate, for the petitioner.
M.M.S. BEDI, J (ORAL) Counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the respondent is herself working yet the Court has awarded interim maintenance of Rs.3,000/- per month under Section 24 of the Hindu Marriage Act, in a divorce petition filed by the petitioner-husband. I have heard the counsel for the petitioner. I am of the opinion that there is no scope for interference in the order granting maintenance pendente lite of Rs.3,000/- per month which appears to be bare minimum.
The petition is dismissed. However, the trial Court is directed to ensure that the proceedings are not delayed by adopting any dilatory tactics by any of the parties.
(M.M.S. BEDI) March 2, 2015.
