The petitioner prays for another opportunity to attend the counselling held for the recruitment of Teachers in the English subject (Master cadre).

The petitioner applied for the post under the reserved category namely Scheduled Caste (Majhbi and Balmikis). There were 72 posts advertised under the said category. The petitioner succeeded in the written test and was called for scrutiny of the documents on 21.10.2022. However, he did not attend the counselling on the appointed date. Thereafter, another opportunity was given to the candidates to come for scrutiny on 04.11.2022. Even then, the petitioner did not attend the counselling. Since the candidates, who had scored sufficient marks in SC(M&B) category, were not available, hence, the remaining 18 posts out of 72 posts were shifted to SC (Ramdasia DEEPAK KUMAR BHARDWAJ 2023.02.06 11:08 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document and Others) category. Civil Writ Petition No. 665 of 2023 has been given to the candidates belonging to SC (R&O) vide public notice dated 16.12.2022, therefore, the petitioner is also entitled to another opportunity to attend the counselling.

It is evident that another opportunity vide public notice dated 16.12.2022 to the candidates belonging to SC (R&O) has been given only because of the fact that 18 posts were permitted to be converted from SC(M&B) to SC(R&O).

In these apparent circumstances, this Court does not find if appropriate to exercise its extraordinary jurisdiction. Hence, the present writ petition is dismissed.
