This is second petition for grant of regular bail pending trial to the petitioner in a criminal case arising from FIR No. 86 dated 04.06.2014, registered under Section 22/61/85 of the Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, at Police Station Sarhali, District Tarn Taran. The first petition, filed by the petitioner, was dismissed on 16.10.2019 with the following order:

"Petitioner prays for grant of regular bail in FIR No.86, dated 04.06.2014, registered under Sections 22/61/85 of the NDPS Act, at Police Station Sarhali, District Tarn Taran. As per the case of the prosecution, petitioner was found in conscious possession of 287 grams of intoxicant powder containing Alprazolam and 12 ampules containing Buprenorphine Hydrochloride to the extent of 0.27 mg/m. Petitioner was arrested but while waiting for report from Forensic Science Laboratory, she was released on interim bail. DEEPAK KUMAR BHARDWAJ 2021.01.19 16:35 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document She is now, thereafter, in custody since 12.04.2019.

Criminal Misc. No. M-2296 of 2021 Learned counsel for the State, on instructions from ASI Lakhwinder Singh, has submitted that the petitioner is a previous convict in FIR No.90 of 2012, registered under the NDPS Act.

Hence, no ground to release the petitioner on bail is made out.

Dismissed".

Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that after the dismissal of the previous bail application, the petitioner filed a fresh application before the trial Court seeking interim bail on medical grounds, which has been dismissed by the trial Court.

This Court has considered the submissions. In the considered opinion of this Court, no ground to grant bail to the petitioner is made out. Hence, the present petition is dismissed. However, the Jail Superintendent, Central Jail, Amritsar, is directed to ensure that the petitioner gets proper treatment for her high blood pressure and eye problem.
