This petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India inter alia seeking a writ in the nature of Certiorari for quashing the orders dated 05.11.1979, 15.05.1985 and 17.05.1993 (Annexures P-1 to P-3 respectively).

Mr. Beant Singh Seemar, Advocate appears and files his Power of Attorney on behalf of respondent No.3 in Court today, which is taken on record, subject to all just exceptions.

On 17.09.2024, the following order was passed: "Learned senior counsel representing the petitioners submits that for the last eight years, petitioners have not contacted his office. He, while referring to the note mentioned HIMANI GUPTA 2024.12.03 11:52 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document/judgment High Court, Chandigarh

CWP-10532-1993 (O&M) -2in the index, further informs the Court that there is a reference to another writ petition, bearing CWP No.9992 of 1993, which has already been withdrawn on 06.05.2003.

At this stage, learned senior counsel representing respondent No.3 informs the Court that another writ petition, bearing CWP No.10533 of 1993, filed by the same petitioners, also stands withdrawn on 06.05.2003.

Since learned senior counsel representing the petitioners and respondent No.3 plead no instructions from the respective parties, accordingly, let fresh notices be served upon the petitioners as well as respondent No.3 for 21.11.2024." 4.

As per the office report dated 25.11.2024, notices issued to petitioners No.1, 2, 4 to 9 have been received back unserved with the report 'not traceable' and notice upon petitioner No.3 has been received back with the report 'person has died'.

In view of the above, the present writ petition is dismissed for non-prosecution.

All pending application(s), if any, shall also stand closed. 7.

A copy of this order be sent to the petitioners at the address mentioned in the Memo of Parties.
