RAJESH BHARDWAJ, J.(ORAL) Instant petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. praying for quashing of FIR No.258, dated 28.12.2019, under Sections 376, 354, 509, 511 IPC read with Sections 8/10 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012, registered at Police Station Civil Lines, Batala, District Gurdaspur, Annexure P-1, alongwith all the subsequent and consequential proceedings arising therefrom on the basis of compromise between the parties.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been acquitted in this case and hence the present petition has become infructuous and the same may be dismissed as such. Learned State counsel, on instructions from ASI Satnam Singh, also affirms the submission made by counsel for the petitioner.
