The petitioner has approached this Court seeking grant of anticipatory bail in respect of a case registered against him vide FIR No.116, dated 3.9.2019, Police Station Maqsudan, District Jalandhar, under Sections 341, 324, 506, 148, 149 of IPC (Section 326 IPC added later on).

At the time of issuance of notice of motion on 15.1.2020 the following order was passed:
- 2 - "Through this petition, the petitioner seeks anticipatory bail in case FIR No.116 dated 03.09.2019, registered at Police Station Maqsudan, Jalandhar, under Sections 341, 324, 506, 148 and 149 IPC and Section 326 IPC (added later on).
Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the petitioner had also received injury that too on the skull. Even otherwise, as per the allegations, the petitioner had inflicted a datar blow which hit on the little finger of left hand of the complainant. It is yet to be ascertained by the trial Court on the basis of evidence as to who was the aggressor.

Meanwhile, the petitioner is directed to join the investigation and if he is sought to be arrested, he shall be released on interim bail to the satisfaction of the Investigating Officer/Arresting Officer subject to the conditions as envisaged in Section 438 (2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure."

Learned State counsel, upon instructions from ASI Nitmal Singh, has informed that pursuant to interim directions, the petitioner has since joined investigation.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case and while bearing in mind that the petitioner has since joined investigation, the petition is accepted and the interim directions issued by this Court vide order dated 15.1.2020 are hereby made absolute subject to the condition that the petitioner shall join investigation as and when called upon to do so and cooperate with the Investigating Officer and
- 3 - shall also abide by the conditions as provided under Section 438 (2) Cr.P.C.
