(ORAL) The sixteen (16) petitioners in the instant writ petition are seeking a mandamus for correction in the revenue record and for deletion of the names of the non-proprietors of the village who have no right in the shamilat land of the village which belongs to the proprietors of RAJ KUMAR ARORA 2019.03.07 13:32 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
CWP-878-2019 the village exclusively with a further direction for initiation of appropriate legal action against the delinquent officials who intentionally included the names of the non-proprietors wrongly and arbitrarily. They are also seeking a writ in the nature of certiorari for setting aside the order dated 22.12.2017 (Annexure P11) passed by the Assistant Collector, Consolidation of Holding, Union Territory, Chandigarh, vide which the claim of the petitioners therein has been rejected holding that there is no deficiency in their landed area.
After arguing for some time, counsel for the petitioners prays for permission to withdraw the instant writ petition to enable his clients to seek their remedy in accordance with law. Dismissed as withdrawn with aforesaid liberty. (JASWANT SINGH) JUDGE March 5, 2019.
