STATE OF PUNJAB AND ANOTHER ....Respondents BEFORE: HON'BLE MS. JUSTICE NIDHI GUPTA Present:- None for the petitioner.
Ms. Aakanksha Gupta, AAG, Punjab.
None for respondent No.2.
Nidhi Gupta, J. (Oral) Learned State counsel on instructions from ASI Shingara Mattu submits that the cancellation report has been prepared in the present case. However, the same is yet to be presented.
The matter pertains to the year 2021. A perusal of the order sheets reveals that on 19.01.2021, the case was adjourned to 01.02.2021 due to poor connectivity on the side of learned counsel for the petitioner. On 01.02.2021, when the case was taken up through video conferencing, counsel for the petitioner did not join VC group, therefore, the case was adjourned to 12.02.2021. On 12.02.2021, case was adjourned to 25.02.201 on the request of learned counsel for the petitioner. Again, when the case was taken up on 27.09.2023, case was adjourned to 14.12.2023 on account of abstaining from work by the Bar Association of this Court. However, it was recorded in the order of the even date that notice could not be issued to respondent No.1 for want of process fee. Office report also shows that the till date process fee has not been deposited. Thereafter, the case was adjourned by order for today. Today, also none appears on behalf of the petitioner. It appears that the neither petitioner nor is his counsel interested in further pursuing the instant petition.
Accordingly, the instant petition is dismissed for nonprosecution. (Nidhi Gupta) 24.04.2024 Judge 'Amit'
