Mr. Hari Chand, Advocate, for the petitioners. KRISHNA MURARI, C.J. (ORAL) The petitioners purport to have approached this Court in Public Interest. Petitioner No. 1 claims to be the Managing Trustee of a registered trust, i.e. Pushpanjali Trust. Vide the petition at hands, they seek a direction to the respondent authorities to frame a policy for setting up Group Homes in terms of the provisions of the Mental Healthcare Act, 2017.
Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that prior to the institution of this petition, the petitioners had even represented to the Adviser to the Administrator, U.T. Chandigarh, as regards their concerns, vide representation dated 26.11.2018, appended therewith a draft policy. But the matter appears to have made no tangible progress. Having argued the matter at some length, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that let this petition be disposed of at this stage only with a direction to the PRASHANT KAPOOR 2019.01.19 11:22 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

In the wake of the above, and without commenting upon the merits of the case, we dispose of this petition with a direction to the respondents that if, indeed, any such representation, as indicated above, is pending, the same shall be considered and decided by passing appropriate orders, in accordance with law, within a period of three months from the receipt of a certified copy of this order.
